Magical Uses: Turmeric has long been used in Hawaiian magic for purification; salt
water and turmeric are mixed together and
then sprinkled in the area to be purified,
sometimes with a ti leaf. Turmeric is also sometimes scattered
on the floor or about the magic circle for
protection.
